I was the Art Director and Senior Designer for New York Cruise Lines for over three years. I was in charge of overseeing all of the creative across all of their brands, which consisted of Circle Line Sightseeing, World Yacht, The BEAST Speedboat, North River Lobster Company.
Circle Line wanted to offer an upgraded ticked option, which would give customers access to private viewing area's, upgraded seats an other exclusive perks. I was tasked with making the logo for Circle Line Premier and coming up with how we should market it online along with what each touch point should look like and function.
World Yacht wanted to update their Wedding image to attract the higher end target market. I was tasked with creating what this updated style looked like and how it was implemented on the take aways, menus, and ads. Keeping everything very clean and luxury feeling was the goal.
The BEAST needed a brand refresh. I wanted the brand to feel more aggressive and be able to stand out no matter where it lived just like the boat itself. Using a grittier typeface and a photo treatment that was bright green made it always pop. I carried this brand style across to a food cart that we placed in front to boat for customers to enjoy called THE BEASTRO.
New York Cruise Lines sends out Holiday Cards each year to it's clients and since most people just throw out cards, I wanted to make the card into something that they could actually use. The solution was to make the card convert into an boat ornament that could be hung anywhere to enjoy the entire Holiday season.
